"This girl right here..." Danetra Moore is shining her light on SoulProsper Radio!

Known for her impressive run and powerful vocals on BET's Sunday Best, Danetra Moore is one of the more recognizable and memorable former contestants. As a burgeoning syndicated show, SoulProsper Radio reached out to Ms. Moore to discuss her music, her journey and everything in between. It was her candor and overall pleasant disposition that further endeared her to the show, listeners and host, Fred Willis.

For many, weight loss is more than just a struggle to shed pounds. Often times, weight gain is just a symptom of an underlying issue.  Tyscot's newest artist, Danetra Moore knows this struggle all too well.  Recently, she shared her personal story of her weight loss journey to encourage others who still may be going through the struggle.  This picture titled "This Girl Right Here" is a visual reminder to Danetra of God's healing and saving power.  Here's Danetra's story, in her own words:   

This girl right here nearly weighed 300 pounds. This girl right here hasn't always loved herself.  This girl right here has battled being curvy and thick her whole life.  This girl right here has defended the fact that she can still love God, serve God, sing for God and still be thick. This girl right here used to hide behind over-sized, ugly clothes, people and food because she loved someone else more than she loved herself.  This girl right here used to dim her light to make others' light shine and feel more powerful.

This girl right here has overcome so much including depression, mental, emotional, and physical abuse. This girl right here made the ultimate sacrifice of giving up everything to have nothing but the freedom to go after her dream and the call that God has placed on her life. This girl right here has even made mistakes but,  "Only God can use someone like her for HIS glory."

 Talk about the "Light in the Dark"...She's fought, prayed, cried and struggled but still has always managed to find the "Light in the Dark." I encourage you all to LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE. Love God first and yourself second. I may not be where you are right now but I AM YOU AND YOU ARE ME AND WE CAN UPLIFT EACH OTHER. No matter how dark life may be, FIND YOUR "LIGHT IN THE DARK."
