California State Law enforcement officer and emerging recording artist Stephen B. Steward is set to perform live on The Word Network ‘s ‘Rejoice in The Word’ this Friday, December 12th at 8pm ET/ 7pm CT/ 5pm PT live hosted by Bishop George Bloomer.

In addition to Steward’s performance of his third official single “I Feel Your Presence” he will discuss his Billboard chart topping debut solo album ENTER YOUR GATES, which continues to garner critical acclaim months after its #10 debut on the Top Gospel Albums Chart earlier this
May.

With hints of gospel, jazz, rock, and soul, the album makes the perfect holiday gift as it has a little something for everyone – a concept not too foreign to Steward. Like his eclectic album, the multifaceted singer/songwriter also wears many hats including community activist and an impressive 29-year tenure in law enforcement. Putting him in a unique position to weigh in on social issues such as that affecting Ferguson, MO, police brutality, and more, Stephen is set to discuss these matters during his appearance on The Word Network.

In regards to community activism, Steward stands as a pillar in his Californian community thanks to his charitable organization LOV Olive Branches. Serving at-risk youth in Greater Pasadena, the non-profit venture annually awards over $5,000 in scholarships to youth involved in music and arts. For more information on Stephen B. With so many clamoring for clergy involvement in the new movement against social injustice, new voices are needed. The problems aren't new, but the victims are. Many people feel the need for voices with connections to this generation to speak on their behalf and stand with them.

World renown recording artist and Presiding Prelate of the Pentecostal Churches of Jesus Christ, Bishop Hezekiah Walker has answered the call. Along with him a council of clergy comprised of other church leaders willing to lead the charge and make an impact, starting in Brooklyn. Below is a post from Bishop Walker's Instagram account where he posted details for Monday's meeting in the courtroom of the Brooklyn Borough Hall. Civic leaders as well as church leaders will be in attendance. Church leaders from the Tri-State area are encouraged to attend.

"Come prepared to do more than talk and vent, come prepared to do what the church was designed to do, take action and lead the people", says Walker.

Walker is Brooklyn born and raised and has made a huge imprint on gospel music right from his home burough.
