Bishop Hezekiah Walker and a council of clergy speak out: 'We will not be silent or silenced'12/7/2014 With so many clamoring for clergy involvement in the new movement against social injustice, new voices are needed. The problems aren't new, but the victims are. Many people feel the need for voices with connections to this generation to speak on their behalf and stand with them.
World renown recording artist and Presiding Prelate of the Pentecostal Churches of Jesus Christ, Bishop Hezekiah Walker has answered the call. Along with him a council of clergy comprised of other church leaders willing to lead the charge and make an impact, starting in Brooklyn. Below is a post from Bishop Walker's Instagram account where he posted details for Monday's meeting in the courtroom of the Brooklyn Borough Hall. Civic leaders as well as church leaders will be in attendance. Church leaders from the Tri-State area are encouraged to attend. "Come prepared to do more than talk and vent, come prepared to do what the church was designed to do, take action and lead the people", says Walker. Walker is Brooklyn born and raised and has made a huge imprint on gospel music right from his home burough.
