Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton shares that her prayer for our country is for all to ‘Love thy neighbor.’ She told inspirational recording artist and radio host Erica Campbell what keeps her motivated and more today, October 31st, on Campbell’s nationally syndicated radio program. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had a revealing interview with inspirational recording artist and radio host Erica Campbell this Monday, October 31st on the nationally syndicated radio show Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell.
In the exclusive interview Clinton will spoke directly to Erica Campbell’s influential inspirational audience and the African American community. When asked what keeps her motivated to keep going Secretary Clinton responded: “I think it’s a combination of the inspiration I got from my mother and the lessons from her life, which was a very difficult one. She had to overcome a lot of barriers and she did. Then becoming a mother and now becoming a grandmother. That has been the ongoing motivation. I was raised in a family of faith and I am so fortunate to have that backing and that support when things get hard, so I think it comes down to family and faith.” Clinton’s prayer for our country: “It would be a prayer and a recitation of the most important commandment – ‘Love thy neighbor as thy self’.” What is at stake in the election: “I really don’t think there has been an election where the stakes have been higher. We are really fighting this election out over what kind of country we’re going to be, how we’re going to treat each other; I campaigned a lot in the last year about the need more love and kindness. My vision is that we are stronger together. I want to build on President Obama’s legacy…” In a special moment Secretary Clinton allowed Erica Campbell to pray for her health, her family and leadership. When co-host GRIFF asked what the Democratic Presidential nominee would do if she had the day off: “I’d go for a really long walk! I need to get out and enjoy the beauty around us.” Secretary Clinton in closing stated: “I will need you prayer not only through this election but after the election. I hope that all of your listeners will be part of this election, there is so much at stake.” Hear the full interview on GetUpErica.com. Get Up! All Proceeds from Sale of New Track to Benefit the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation Wide Variety of Celebrities and Activists Respond in Support Of The Singer's Grassroots Efforts "A beautiful mission of sound and healing" - Carlos Santana (Featured Guitarist) Alt-pop/adult contemporary singer-songwriter Jennifer Saran has teamed up with South African Grammy-winning male choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Grammy and Emmy-winning producer, drummer, singer and songwriter Narada Michael Walden (Producer/Co-writer), known for his work with Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, and Mariah Carey, to create her newest single, "Wake Up." Making a special guest appearance on the track is Grammy-winner and legend Carlos Santana (Featured Guitarist), whose guitar licks generate inspiring vibes. The stunning collaboration is a heartfelt appeal to the world to recognize and address inequality and impoverishment, a cause incredibly personal and important to all the amazing artists involved. "Wake Up" will be featured on Saran's third album, produced and co-written by Narada Michael Walden, which will be released in early 2017. "Wake Up" is a rousing and uplifting anthem for the world at large. Saran takes meaningful action through her lyrics to encourage change - "It's time to Wake Up!" This worldly, heartfelt, and thought-provoking singer has been dazzling listeners with her message of positivity and encouraging them to stand up to the world's struggles and incite change, first on her debut album Walk With Me (2016), and now on this new song. Each of the legendary guest artists joining her on the song believe strongly in her cause. Carlos Santana, whose searing guitar work is featured on the track, says Saran's song is "a beautiful mission of sound and healing." Saran adds, "'Wake Up' is the second inspirational song that Narada and I have written. Eighteen months ago we were inspired to write 'Rise Up Time,' which came from an inspired jam session. We had put aside time to experiment with a new idea in the wake of so much hate and violence in America and what came from that time together was this song." Ladysmith Black Mambazo, who won a Grammy for "Best World Music" in 2015 for their album Live: Singing For Peace Around The World, was brought in through Walden, whose goal was "to make a new sound for the world and inspire a new consciousness in the world - that of waking up." It was Walden's responsibility to create a space between these artists - passionate about the same worldly concerns - with the intention of inspiring a global movement of like-minded people with a single goal in mind: peace. Proceeds from sales of the song, which is available now on iTunes, will go directly to the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation. As an outspoken defender of human rights and campaigner for the oppressed, Nobel Peace Prize-winner Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu is one of the world's most revered peacemakers. The mission of his US-based nonprofit is to support and promote the creation of a culture of peace throughout the world. Saran created an accompanying web-based video that was released on the Archbishop's 85th birthday. Growing up in the entertainment capital of the world Los Angeles, CA he was captivated by the huge studios, fancy cars and glistening fast life. Matt quickly became a respected club promoter in Southern California and landed a job with Relativity Records as their West Coast Rep. Matt would spread his wings in film and television as well as a Production Assistant on titles such as Curtis Court, Inside Edition, and Spider Man. After some minor brushes with the law Matt would return to the music industry as a Promotions Director for Adelman Broadcasting where he would manage five radio stations simultaneously each different formats. While searching YouTube one day Matt came across widely known Radio One radio announcer and Television host Willie Moore Jr. After managing him from Los Angeles Matt and his family relocated to Atlanta. It is in Atlanta where Matt would help take Willie Moore Jr. to become a household name in less than 2 years securing him deals with Radio One (Reach Media), Black Entertainment Television (BET), and TBN to name a few. From there Matt would secure Tasha Page Lockhart and orchestrated having her on the Tyler Perry Tour ”Madea on the Run” city wide tour - while in his first month of managing her. Currently Matt is working on Tasha's sophomore album. Following his 2015 major label debut release Motown Gospel’s Pop Soul recording artist and lyricist Royce Lovett delivers five more thoughtful, well-crafted songs entitled LOVE WINS produced by Nate Butler (Backstreet Boys, Cheetah Girls, Luther Vandross). These songs exemplify a natural next step in Royce’s young career, stronger songs, more musical, more funky, more personal. LOVE WINS (goo.gl/c9XHoR) is available in standard edition and deluxe edition (goo.gl/za3gwR)- which includes acoustic versions of "Reach", "Freedom" and "Go". Armed with an unmistakable voice, spirited guitar, and lyrics drawn from the depths of his soul, Royce Lovett brings a much-needed breath of fresh air to music. With love still at the heart of his work, Lovett tackles more personal themes on his forthcoming EP release. Drawing from Lovett’s hip-hop roots, “Reach” uses a hard-driving drum beat in relaying the message to always “put your hands in the sky today / though your dream seems miles away.” The slower-paced “Go” explores the pressure of holding fast to the faith you have in yourself despite what friends and others may say. The rollicking “That’s Dat Jesus” (click here to listen: https://youtu.be/ep--jgViZUk) embodies the fervor of the hymns Lovett’s grandmother used to sing when he was younger, while the guitar-driving track “I Wanna Love You” (click here to listen: https://youtu.be/-0992GLinms) outlines the blueprint for winning at love and marriage. “Don’t tell me we lost, ‘cause I want to win,” sings Lovett to his significant other in a gliding tenor. “Love is hard but you’ve got to fight for what you want in the end.” Providing the through-line for LOVE WINS is the upbeat declaration “Freedom.” Lovett wrote the song in response to the title track of his debut EP. “Thought I was free, thought I was free,” goes the refrain, “but I couldn’t hear the voice that’s locked inside of me. I want to be free from bondage my brother /my friend / so we can dance again.” For more information on Royce Lovett visit his website at www.RoyceLovett.com and on all of his social media outlets at @RoyceLovett (FB, Twitter/IG). Bounce TV will celebrate the incredible life of Muhammad Ali, the global icon who passed away Friday at the age of 74, with a special presentation of The Greatest, the 1977 motion picture in which Ali stars as himself, tomorrow, June 6 at 10:00 p.m. ET / 9:00 p.m. CT. The Greatest is a dramatization of Ali’s life and starts with his rise to fame winning the heavyweight gold medal at the 1960 Olympic Games, when he was known as Cassius Clay. He then stuns Sonny Liston to become heavyweight champion of the world and soon after converts to Islam and changes his name. When he is suddenly classified 1A by the Draft Board that earlier rejected him, Ali refuses the draft on religious grounds, which leads to the stripping of his title. Embarking on -- and ultimately winning -- a nearly four-year long court battle, Ali then returns to the ring and takes part in what many consider some of the greatest fights of all time. Against all odds, he defeats George Foreman in the legendary “Rumble in the Jungle” to win back the heavyweight title. The Greatest was based on a book written by Ali and others and the boxing footage is largely from the actual fights. The film includes the song The Greatest Love of All, written for the movie and performed by George Benson. It was later remade by Whitney Houston.
