Everything Attached to Her Wins: A Look Inside Jekalyn Carr’s Winning Season!

Her single “You Will Win” is entering a new level of multi-week dominance atop the Billboard and Mediabase charts,  and her book “You Will Win: Inspirational Strategies to Help You Overcome” is inspiring readers everywhere.. A culmination of sorts for one of the youngest artists and ministers to ever grace a major platform, 2017 was a whirlwind year for the 20-year-old, Jekalyn Carr ending the year with a nomination from each major music industry award with a gospel category!

Though she didn’t win, she emerged from what could easily be viewed as a disappointing year to inspire winners, everywhere! “There is a champion in you” is what she preaches in the first single from her newly released album “One Nation Under God”.
“We were actually done with all the songs, but God was like there’s one more song that I need to birth through you and we wrote the song “You Will Win” and we knew that was the song for this time- just really encouraging the world that this is our winning season. It doesn’t matter what happened in your past and truth be told, you can’t do anything about what has already happened in your past and how many losses you took in your past. But you can do something about now and your future as well.

That song is just to push you and to motivate you to not settle losing. You are a winner, you are a champion and that’s how you’re supposed to live your life!”
She knows that winning doesn’t always equate to trophies and speeches on award platforms. In her book, she uses life lessons and practical scriptural application to inspire faith activation for a new level of awareness and an ultimately well-rounded winning life. The young author expressed that she doesn’t believe it to be God’s will for us to only win in one area of our lives.

She believes that God wants us to win in every aspect and facet of our lives. “In God, we win every day!”

“I’m all about giving people messages and information so they can get results. It’s not just speaking it. My songs, sermons and books give you information on what you can do on your end, so you can apply it to your life and get results.”

You never know why God is speaking what He is speaking when He is instructing you to do a certain thing. When God spoke two to three years ago about this book “You Will Win”, I didn’t understand the place today we would be in and I traveled the world and I began to hear so many testimonies about how so many people were allowing their situations to defeat them when it’s supposed to be the other way around. So, in this book God has given me the opportunity to let you know that it is not His intention to see you defeated or bound by anything that you are facing in your life. Why? Because you are a champion, you are a winner you are an overcomer. And, it’s not something that you have to become, you were born a winner!   

With her bright past behind her, Carr is forging ahead with the spirit of a winner. Her past successes behind her, she is pressing toward the greater that is coming, still believing that something BIG is about to happen and that this…here and now is her winning season!
