Robert E. Person
“Stunning,” “flawless” and “moving” are just a few of the words that have been used to describe the crystal clear vocals of Inspirational Artist Robert E. Person. With an amazing timbre, superior vocal control and spirited delivery, Person provides the perfect recipe for a memorable music experience.
Although his vocal prowess brings to mind other excellent vocalists such as Daryl Coley, Larnelle Harris, and David Phelps; Robert has a unique gifting all his own. His special talent has caught the ear of the industry – including jazz legend and GRAMMY Award winner George Benson, R&B singer Kelly Price and Gospel artists Karen Clark Sheard and J Moss, who he has sung background vocals for.
He has also lent his vocals to two Stellar Award Nominated artists: Mike McCoy & Voices United and John “Bucky” Tillery and Living Sacrifice. He’s self-produced three impressive Gospel projects, The Call, Next Level and the recently released Soul Sanctuary.
2012 has proved to be a great year for Robert. Earlier this year he debuted to a sold-out performance at the famed Blues Alley, in Washington, DC. In July, Robert was honored with two awards at The Gospel Blue M.I.C. Achievement Awards held during the Indie Gospel Alliance Music Conference in Chesapeake, VA. Robert was voted Artist of the Year and awarded an exclusive distribution contract with Nashville based New Day Christian Distributors. In October, Robert was honored in Baltimore, MD with the 2012 Newsome Gospel Music Award for Male Vocalist of the Year. Most recently He received the 2012 D.M.V. Christian Music Award for Gospel/Jazz Artist of the Year.
