Cherrie Thompson-Scott
Singer, songwriter, pastor and counselor, Cherrie Thompson-Scott has been around the gospel community for a long time. Standing by the piano singing as her mom played when she was just a child, Cherrie developed her love for gospel music.
Early in her career, Cherrie was in the hit movie, “Leap of Faith”, starring Steve Martin and she appeared in the Tyler Perry stage play, “I Know I’ve Been Changed”. She has also appeared on BET on the Bobby Jones Gospel show several times. She has worked with artists such as Edwin Hawkins, Ricky Dillard, John P. Kee, Kirk Franklin, Kim Burrell, LaShun Pace, Carnell Murrell and many others. Cherrie has geared up for her third release entitled, “Brighter Day”, produced by sons Jamiene “J-Skills” Thompson and Arthur “Big Art” Thompson.
She is married to Pastor Charles Scott, better known as the radio personality, “Big C the Encourager”, and she has three sons and other family members that God uses greatly in the music world. Her assignment from the Lord is one of help and comfort to those that are hurting. With pure vocals and years of experience, Cherrie has built quite a fan base. Her talents grace many on every Sunday morning as she is a member of Bishop T.D. Jakes’ Potter’s House Praise Team.
