Motown Gospel Recording Artist Steps Back Into Studio For Sophomore CD, Vintage Worship
Gospel Artist Anita Wilson has been amazed at the success of her debut record, Worship Soul. With Billboard Top 10 tracks like "Speechless" and "Jesus Will", she has become a phenomenon in the Gospel music industry. Merging R&B grooves with contemporary Gospel, she has created a style of worship all her own. After receiving a GRAMMY Award Nomination and multiple Stellar Award nominations for the project, the artist celebrates one more accolade: a 44th Annual GMA Dove Award Nomination. She was recognized with a nomination for Contemporary Gospel/Urban Album of the Year for Worship Soul.
Anita is grateful for the recognition. "I am continually astonished by God's Favor," says Wilson. "It is incredibly humbling to have the prestigious honor of being a GMA Dove Award Nominee! I'm grateful to be included among so many amazing artists and I'd like to congratulate all of the nominees!" The 44th Annual GMA Dove Awards will be held on Tuesday, October 15th at 7:30PM at the Allen Arena at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. More information on the GMA Dove Awards can be found onwww.DoveAwards.com.
Anita is currently in the studio, working on her next release. The upcoming Motown Gospel project, Vintage Worship, is a collection of original songs that lends itself to the vintage sounds of the 70's, 80's and 90's. Deciding not to mess with perfection, Wilson has tapped Rick Robinson, producer of Worship Soul, for Vintage Worship. The new CD is scheduled for release in early 2014.
